Eddie and Kristen Alderson not remaining with One Life to Live

Brother and sister duo Eddie and Kristen Alderson have announced they will not remain with daytime soap One Life to Live when it leaves ABC in January.

The soap will re-launch online after finishing on ABC and while a string of cast members have signed deals to remain with the series Eddie and Kristen Alderson have opted not to – turning down the chance to remain with the soap under new producers Prospect Park.

Kristen Alderson has played Starr Manning since March 1998 though initially the actress was not part of the contract cast – the regular core cast. The actress became part of the contract cast in 2001 when her brother, Eddie Alderson, joined as Matthew Buchanan. Earlier this week the duo announced they were planning to move to Los Angeles and audition for other roles rather than remain with OLTL but Kristen Alderson indicated she would be willing to return at some point in the future. The actress recently denied rumours she was to join the cast of fellow ABC soap General Hospital.
