One Life to Live actors heading to General Hospital
Several One Life to Live actors are heading to fellow ABC soap General Hospital but will not be playing new characters in the medical soap.
The city of Port Charles will be welcoming several former Llanview residents as a string of One Life to Live characters crossover to medical soap General Hospital – which after Friday will be ABC’s last remaining soap. TVLine report that four actors are set to continue their OLTL characters on General Hospital.
Actor Michael Easton is set to continue in his role of John McBain while actors Kristen Alderson, Kassie DePaiva and Roger Howarth are also set to continue playing their respective characters. Ted King is also rumoured to have signed up to continue playing his character of Tomas as well.
General Hospital’s new show-runner is Frank Valentini who just happens to be the former show-runner of One Life to Live hence the crossover and in a statement he said ‘I am confident viewers and fans alike will be excited for the arrival of John (played by Easton), Starr (Kristen Alderson), Blair (Emmy nominee Kassie DePaiva) and Todd (Emmy winner Roger Howarth). Incorporating characters from One Life to Live continue the legacy of the show as we weave them into General Hospital.’
It is not the first time characters have crossed between ABC’s soaps with storylines in the past seeing characters move between General Hospital, All My Children and One Life to Live but the arrival of several characters at one time is surely a first or uncertainly unusual.
