Emma Samms returning to General Hospital

British actress Emma Samms it to return to ABC soap General Hospital.

TVLine reports that Emma Samms is heading back to General Hospital to reprise her role of Holly Sutton Scorpio. The news of Samms return to the medical soap comes after it was revealed that Tristan Rogers would also return to reprise his role of Robert Scorpio. However, TVLine reports the actress will not be back as part of Kimberly McCullough’s storyline but instead will return afterwards.

Samms originally played the role of Holly between 1982 and 1985 when she left to join Dynasty as Fallon Carrington-Colby, taking over the role from Pamela Sue Martin who had already left the soap. Samms played the role in the spin-off series The Colbys and after its cancellation continued the role on Dynasty and its reunion movie. The actress has returned to General Hospital on a number of occasions most recently in 2009.
