Janet Jackson rules out X Factor USA role
Janet Jackson has ruled herself out of a judging role on Fox talent series the X Factor.
Janet Jackson was one of several names being suggested by the press as being inline for a judges role on the X Factor USA. The Fox series is searching for two new judges after it was revealed that Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger would not be returning for a second series. However, Janet Jackson has now ruled herself out of the running for a place on the panel.
The singer told TheInsider.com she was ‘very flattered that X Factor let me know that I was being considered for next season, but it just wouldn’t be possible.’ It was reported in February that early talks were taking place between Jackson’s representatives and X Factor bosses.
Janet Jackson might now be out of the running but the list of names, suggested by the press, for the judging panel keeps growing. Earlier this week it was revealed that Simon Cowell was in talks with Britney Spears over a possible role on the X Factor. Other names, suggested by the press, as being inline include Kate Perry, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Rowland and Pink.
