TalkSport to become UK first only sport radio station
Radio station TalkSport is to drop all non-sport programming in a bid to make the station distinctive from its nearest rival BBC Radio 5 Live.
This is the first major change since January 2000 when the station was re-branded from TalkRadio to TalkSport.
Programme director, Moz Dee says: “It gives us a great opportunity to work with an international network of sports reporters covering everything from American sports to British teams and athletes competing on the other side of the world, and makes us the only UK station focused on sport all of the time.”
TalkSport is owned by Northern Ireland broadcaster UTV.
