UK success at International Emmy awards
BBC One’s The Street picked up two awards, with X Factor judge Simon Cowell receiving a special award.
The Street, which how now ended, picked up two awards on the night. Bob Hoskins won best actor, and the show won best drama series. The Street ran for three series and was produced by ITV Studios for the BBC.
The X Factor judge Simon Cowell was their to collect a special award, the International Emmy Founders Award. This was given to him by media mogul Rupert Murdoch. There was more British success, as CBBC’s Shaun The Sheep won the award for best children and young people programme and Helena Bonham Carter picked up best actress for her role in Enid.
