Larry Hagman out of Dallas revival?

Larry Hagman may not be appearing as JR Ewing in TNT’s proposed revival of Dallas.

Larry Hagman may not be appearing as JR Ewing in TNT’s proposed revival of Dallas. The proposed revival of the 1980s should would centre on the “next generation” of Ewing children; John Ross and Christopher with JR, Bobby and Sue Ellen all appearing as well in supporting roles.

However, according to reports these plans may now change and JR may not feature in the revival at all – Dallas without JR, is that even possible some may ask!

While Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy have both signed up for the pilot according to Deadline Hollywood actor Larry Hagman has not signed up. Talks between TNT and the actor continue but are faltering because of the money demands made by Hagman, according to the report.

TNT have now decided to push ahead with a revised version of the script which does not feature “‘present day” JR in an attempt to get the pilot to production stage.

There is still a chance that Hagman will sign on for the revival but producers, it seems, as just as happy to press ahead without him. It was recently announced that the actor would be guest-starring in an episode of Desperate Housewives.
