EastEnders: Marcus Christie returns as Sharon plots revenge on Phil

EastEnders bosses have revived one of the series’ most notable guest characters, crooked one-time Mitchell family lawyer Marcus Christie.

Played by Stephen Churchett, Marcus was a recurring presence in the show from 1990 until 2004. His last appearance saw him in cahoots with Den Watts (Leslie Grantham) to dupe the Mitchell family fortune from an unsuspecting Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf), whilst Phil (Steve McFadden) was on the run for armed robbery.

In tonight’s episode, Sharon Rickman (Letitia Dean), having shelved her plans to flee the Square, tracked the unscrupulous brief down to enlist his help in a revised plan to fleece Phil.

Sharon is out for revenge on Phil after discovering that he masterminded the recent attack on her bar, The Albert, which left her in a critical condition.
