Real life to mirror soap life for Rita Simons in ‘Beyond Walford’

EastEnders star Rita Simons is to take over a real pub in the East End as part of a new BBC Three show.

Beyond Walford will see the actress act in a managerial capacity at the bar for one week, will Rita find the experience plain-sailing or will she be more than happy to hand the reins back? Fans will have to tune in to find out.

Rita’s Walford alter-ego, Roxy Mitchell has been a barmaid at both the Queen Vic and club R&R, while also owning both at various times.

Beyond Walford will air later this year.
