EastEnders cast offered therapy over cot death storyline

EastEnders cast and crew have been offered therapy after filming emotional cot death scenes, according to The Sun.

A source revealed “Most of the crew have never shot anything quite so sensitive. Filming ground to a halt for over an hour as people found it hard to continue without breaking down.”

“It will certainly be very strong viewing.”

Airing in the New Year, the storyline will see Ronnie Mitchell (Samantha Womack) lose her baby son to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) before – in a somewhat tasteless twist – swapping him for Kat Moon’s (Jessie Wallace) healthy newborn.
