One Direction prepare for Today Show debut

X Factor boy band One Direction are set to appear on America’s Today Show on Monday.

The band which were put together during the X Factor in 2010 have currently been on tour with US group Big Time Rush.

On Friday, NBC breakfast show Today had a report about the group ahead of their appearance on the show tomorrow morning. They will be singing their debut number one in the UK, ‘What Makes You Beautiful’, which also won Best British Single at the Brit Awards last month.

Performing on the Today show is seen as a ‘big thing’. The show is the most watched breakfast programme across America and regularly features big names.

Britain’s Got Talent runner-up Susan Boyle has performed at the plaza several times since her rise to global fame.
