Alison Hammond sixth celebrity out of Strictly Come Dancing 2014
This Morning Showbiz Reporter Alison Hammond has become the sixth celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing.
Alison and her partner Aljaž Skorjanec found themselves in the dance off alongside TV presenter Caroline Flack and Pasha Kovalev in this week’s episode of Strictly Come Dancing: The Results.
“Caroline smashed it tonight; I want her to go on and get to the final. I’ve had the best time ever and I am still going to Blackpool and I don’t care what anyone says! I’ve had the best time, thank you judges for all your comments I’ve had an absolute ball. I’d say to anyone who is thinking about doing this show to just go for it and do it, I don’t care what colour you are or what size you are, I’ve loved it.” – Alison Hammond
Last night saw the remaining ten couples take to the dance floor in a bid to impress judges Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood and the viewers at home to secure a place in next week’s Blackpool extravaganza. The judges’ scores were combined with the results of the viewers’ votes to decide the lowest scoring two couples facing tonight’s dance off.
Both couples performed their routines again; Caroline and Pasha performed their Waltz to ‘Three Times a Lady’ by The Commodores and Alison and Aljaž did their Charleston to ‘Friend like Me’ by Robin Williams, from the film Aladdin to secure their place in the competition.
After both couples had danced for survival the judges delivered their verdicts: Craig chose to save Caroline and Pasha, saying: “One is a fun dance, one is a very serious dance but I have to go for the best dance and that is Caroline and Pasha.”
Darcey agreed with Craig and said: “The couple I would like to save is Caroline and Pasha.” Bruno also agreed stating he would like to save Caroline and Pasha. Finally Head Judge Len Goodman added: “I would have agreed with my colleagues and saved Caroline and Pasha.”
Sunday’s results show also featured a special performance from Katherine Jenkins singing ‘We’ll Gather Lilacs’ to mark Remembrance Day, accompanied by professional dancers Pasha Kovalev and Ola Jordan.
Strictly Come Dancing will be heading to Blackpool next week for plenty of sea, sand and sequins next Saturday, 15th November at 7.00pm, with the results show on Sunday 16th November at 7.15pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
