Alcatraz ratings continue to fall
Ratings for J.J Abrams new Fox series Alcatraz continued to fall on Monday evening while The Voice once again dominated the ratings for NBC.
Singing competition The Voice once again topped the Monday ratings for NBC but it was down never-the-less on last week. Last night The Voice averaged 14.3 million viewers with a 5.1 rating between 8 and 10pm but last week it had a much higher 16.3 million viewers with a 5.8 rating rising later on in the evening to 17 million viewers and a 6.3 18-49 rating. Elsewhere at 8pm last night ABC‘s The Bachelor, the series finale, had 9.1 million viewers with a 2.9 rating between 8 and 10pm. Elsewhere it was a repeat heavy night with Fox’s House pulling in 3.6 million while CBS comedies How I Met Your Mother seen by 5.7 million viewers with a 1.8 rating followed by 2 Broke Girls with 6.4 million viewers and a 2.0 rating.
At 9pm Alcatraz lost more viewers after holding steady last night. J.J Abrams new series dropped to 4.9 million viewers with a 1.6 rating as it tumbled towards cancellation. The 9pm hour was again mostly filled by repeats with Hart of Dixie on The CW attracting just half a million viewers with a 0.1 rating while Two and a Half Men had 7.5 million viewers with a 2.1 rating followed by Mike and Molly with 7.2 million viewers and a 1.9 rating.
At 10pm NBC’s new musical drama Smash continued with 7.1 million viewers with a 2.4 18-49 rating compared with last week’s figure of 7.8 million viewers with a 2.7 rating.
