Perception Latest Victim Of TNT Axing Spree

TNT

Crime drama Perception is the latest victim of TNT’s brutal axing spree.

The broadcaster has announced that Perception will not be renewed for a fourth season though its remaining season three episodes will air as planned. The drama stars Eric McCormack and Rachael Leigh Cook. Perception first launched on TNT in 2012 and its remaining episodes are scheduled to air in February.

Perception is the latest victim of TNT’s axing spree; earlier this week it announced Franklin & Bash had been cancelled and weeks ago oil-and-scandal drama Dallas was also axed. Fans have been campaigning for an alternative broadcaster to pick up Dallas but it seems unlikely that will now happen.

TNT’s axing spree comes as the broadcaster looks to ramp up its drama slate with edgier shows more akin to Breaking Bad and The Killing. It is clearing out existing shows to make way for new shows which may leave fans of dramas such as Major Crimes and Rizzoli & Isles worried over their futures.

Perception is produced for TNT by ABC Studios show it is possible the drama maybe offered to other networks.

Dallas - TNT / Channel 5Dallas, another of TNT’s ‘We know (only a certain type of) Drama’ policy that has recently arrived.
