Fox renews Bones for eighth season

Fox has ordered an eighth of crime drama Bones starring David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel.

The 8th season renewal by Fox is hardly surprising given Bones’ continued strong ratings performance. The 8th season of Bones will see it reach its 150th episode – a landmark for the series.

“Over the past seven seasons, Hart Hanson, Stephen Nathan and the incredible Bones cast and crew have redefined the traditional crime procedural with an irreverent and adventurous sensibility and I’m really happy to have this distinctive, fan-favorite on our schedule for another season,” -Kevin Reilly, Fox entertainment president

Bones returns to Fox with new episodes on 2nd April. Bones spin-off The Finder, which launched in January, has been tipped for cancellation by some experts. The spin-off has been performing distantly average in the ratings and the demise of Terra Nova hints the a bleak future for The Finder.
