GCB ratings fall to season low
Ratings for ABC’s comedy drama GCB (Good Christian Bitches) dropped to a season low thanks to a poor lead-in from Julian Fellowes four-part mini-series on the sinking of the Titanic.
At 8pm the hour was won by The Amazing Race on CBS with 9.1 million viewers scoring a 2.5 18-49 rating. Animated comedy The Simpsons on Fox pulled in 4.8 million viewers with a 2.2 rating followed by Bob’s Burgers with 3.7 million viewers and a 1.8 rating. Harry’s Law on NBC pulled in 8.1 million viewers but had a 0.9 rating while a repeat of fantasy drama Once Upon A Time had 4.1 million viewers and a 1.1 rating.
At 9pm a repeat of Family Guy on Fox attracted 4.6 million viewers with a 2.2 18-49 rating followed by The Cleveland Show with 4.3 million viewers and a 2.0 rating. Celebrity Apprentice on NBC continued with 6.6 million viewers with a 2.1 rating while CBS drama The Good Wife mustered 9.9 million viewers and a 1.8 rating.
On ABC the concluding part of Titanic, from Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes, aired. The mini-series launched on ABC on Saturday evening with 4.1 million viewers and a 0.8 rating with the concluding part pulling in 4.1 million viewers with a 0.9 18-49 rating. In the United Kingdom on Sunday evening the concluding part (Titanic was aired over four consecutive Sundays in the UK) had just 3.5 million viewers on broadcaster ITV1.
At 10pm the weak performance of Titanic badly dented ratings for ABC’s comedy drama GCB which dropped to 4.4 million viewers with a 1.5 18-49 rating – a season low. Meanwhile CBS’s NYC 22 premiered with 8.8 million viewers and a 1.5 rating.
