The Voice UK to go on tour in autumn?
The BBC are planning to launch a live tour of The Voice UK following its recent ratings success.
According to The Sun, the BBC are in talks with concert promoters Live Nation to organise a live tour which will happen at the same time The X Factor kicks-off on TV in the autumn. The X Factor also has a live tour each year featuring the top acts from the series.
“Everyone has been taken aback by how successful The Voice has been, so a tour is a no-brainer.” – An insider talking to the tabloid.
The Voice UK has been an instant ratings winner for BBC One. It has beaten its rival ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent in the head-to-head prompting Simon Cowell to congratulate the BBC. Both shows continue to attract over 9 million viewers on a Saturday evening.
As the Britain’s Got Talent auditions continue tomorrow, the Battle Rounds begin on The Voice UK.
