Rula Makes The Street
Actress Rula Lenska is to appear in Coronation Street ITV today confirmed. Sharon Marshall speaking on This Morning commented that the former EastEnders actress would appear as a friend of Audrey’s when they meet up at a hairdressers convention.The Press Association quote an insider at the ITV Granada soap as stating: “Rula will play a glamorous friend of Audrey’s… …she makes Audrey think about her life and what she wants out of it.”
Rula played the girlfriend of Frank Butcher – portrayed by the late great Mike Reid – in EastEnders back in 2002. She’s previously starred in the ITV and Channel 4 soap opera Family Pride made at the ATV Network studios in Birmingham. Other credits include ATV Network’s Return Of The Saint, BBC saga Doctors, Minder for Thames Television and Boon for Central.
Viewers will see Rula as Claudia in Coronation Street later in the year. In other Corrie news it was suggested yesterday that The Queen may appear in the Manchester serial to mark the shows 50th Anniversary next year, it follows Prince Charles making a cameo appearance during the live episode which was aired for the 40th celebrations.
