BBC Order More My Family
BBC One has commissioned two more seasons of its popular sitcom series My Family but has cut the shows budget by 15%. The two seasons will therefore be made back-to-back in order to save costs.
The BBC has re-commissioned sitcom My Family for a 10th and 11th series but has cut the shows budget by 15%. Leading stars Zoe Wannamaker and Robert Lindsay are believed to have taken pay cuts for the new seasons. The two new seasons will be made back-to-back which will also save costs. My Family won’t be the only BBC show producing two seasons back-to-back as it was recently announced drama series Waterloo Road would film its sixth season immediately after production wraps on the shows fifth year. Production on My Family’s new seasons is already underway.
