Illegal Immigrant for Emmerdale

Yorkshire soap Emmerdale is set to tackle the subject of illegal immigrants when a new character joins the ITV soap having smuggled herself onboard one of the King family haulage’ trucks.

ITV soap Emmerdale is set to tackle the topical subject of illegal immigrants entering the country in an upcoming storyline. A young Ukrainian woman will smuggle herself into the country by hiding in one of the King family haulage’ trucks. The Ukrainian woman, Olena, will then be seen by villagers escaping from truck but they assume she’s long gone and think little more of it. However, it later emerges Olena will be hiding out close by the village.

Olena will be played by Swedish actress Carolin Stoltz who has already had a few roles on British television such as in daytime soap Doctors and festive drama Clash of the Santa’s. The actress has, according to reports, signed a year’s contract with Emmerdale and her storyline is set to divide the villagers as they deal with an illegal immigrant in their midst..
