Enders Ricky and Bianca to re-marry
EastEnders characters Ricky Butcher and Bianca Jackson are to tie the knot again in February next year to coincide with the BBC soap’s 25th anniversary.
A long running popular double act in the soap the pair originally tied the knot in April 1997 attracting a huge audience of 22 million viewers and soap bosses hope their second wedding in the new year will prove just as popular.
As an extra coup, bosses have lured back the rest of the Jackson clan for the ceremony. Bianca’s mum Carol, sister Sonia and brothers Billy and Robbie will all be returning to Albert Square as part of the storyline.
Mirror.co.uk reports that Lindsey Coulson who plays Carol will become a regular fixture in the series while Natalie Cassidy who plays Sonia and Dean Gaffney who plays Robbie are only back for the duration of the storyline.
The BBC are also planning to release a DVD in February to mark the occasion. EastEnders: Last Tango in Walford will take a look back at Ricky and Bianca’s best moments and will feature interviews with Walford regulars.
