Life Unexpected actress Shiri Appleby has reportedly confirmed The CW drama has effectively been axed. The drama returned to The CW for a second series early this year but its ratings have been low prompting some to conclude it will be cancelled by the broadcaster. It was recently revealed that The CW were not ordering any more episodes of Life Unexpected – holding at the 13 already ordered.

If, as widely expected, Life Unexpected is officially cancelled by The CW it will be the broadcasters first axe victim of the new season.
