Emmerdale actor Lyndon Ogbourne to leave

Emmerdale, Yorkshire TVEmmerdale star Lyndon Ogbourne is to depart the rural saga later this year.

The actor made his first appearance as scheming Nathan Wylde in February 2009, with the Wylde clan being central to a number of big storylines since their arrival, notably the reveal of patriarch Mark’s (Maxwell Caulfield) double life before he was murdered by wife Natasha (Amanda Donohoe).

“Emmerdale has been such an incredible experience for me and the final act of the Wyldes’ drama will be so gripping. I’ve had great fun and learned so much from creating one of the most love-to-hate Emmerdale characters. But my personal ambition and excitement for future projects has led me to feel this is the right time to leave.” – Lyndon Ogbourne

Reports surrounding the departure of Ogbourne suggest his exit will be dramatic with the door left open.

It’s also been announced that Donohoe and Alice Coulthard, who plays Nathan’s sister Maisie, are also to leave the soap in the coming months.
