Second season of Glee starts strongly for Fox

The second season of Glee kicked off to a strong start for last night according to early ratings data from America.

The second season of Glee got off to a strong start for last night according to early ratings data from America. The second season of the smash hit musical comedy series was seen by 12.3 million people on Fox at 8pm. Meanwhile Fox’s new sitcom Raising Hope had 7.5 million viewers while Running Wilde had 5.9 million. 

Over on CBS during the evening and NCIS had 18.9 million viewers while spin-off series NCIS: Los Angeles pulled in 14.7 million viewers – though according to reports both shows were down in the ratings. NCIS was down by 19% while spin-off Los Angeles dropped a heavier 29%. ABC’s Dancing With the Stars results show had 18.3 million viewers – Baywatch actor David Hasselhoff became the first celebrity to exit the series. ABC drama Detroit 1-8-7 had 9.8 million viewers. 

Elsewhere NBC’s two hour Biggest Loser had 7.2 million viewers while One Tree Hill had 1.9 million for The CW followed by 1.5 million for Life Unexpected.
