New Idol judges announced

FOX has confirmed today who the new American Idol judges are.

 

 

Singer Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith front man Steve Tyler will take their seats on the 10^th season of American Idol, which is will air in January 2011. They join the only surviving judge since the first series, Randy Jackson. Ryan Secreast will also return as host of the hit show.

 

The new judges fill the gaps left by chat show host Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi. Simon Cowell also quit to focus on launching the American version of The X Factor, which it is expected he will be a judge on.

 

There has been tabloid and internet speculation for weeks that they were in the running to be the new judges.
