E20 back for third series

The BBC EastEnders website has announced that a third series of the soap’s online drama, E20, has been commissioned.

Tackling hard-hitting subjects, the new series will continue to work with young talent – writers, actors and crew.

Controller of BBC Learning, Saul Nassé said, “I want to use BBC programmes that are known and loved by audiences that can serve as springboards…We’ll be enlisting the help of the BBC’s best talent to maximise the reach of our output.”

Utilising the power of EastEnders‘ talent, BBC Learning will give everyone the opportunity to launch another exiting, hard-hitting drama, celebrating the lives of young people.

E20 Producer Deborah Sathe revealed, “We are thrilled with the success of the first two series and have already started to storyline the third. Be prepared for a few familiar faces, a couple of new ones and a lot of fireworks.”
