Guests at the star-studded event, held at at the iconic Malmaison hotel in the city, included television soap stars Jimmy Essex and Sophie Porley, model Jade Ainsworth and Liverpool Football Club legend Alan Kennedy, as well as some of Rebecca Ferguson’s biggest fans.

In honour of the new album, last night’s party featured a specially created cocktail from Malmaison; fit for a star, the Superwoman features oodles of Malmaison Champagne, Bombay Sapphire gin and a dash of lemon and sugar syrup. With the cocktails and canapes flowing, guests were treated to an intimate, acoustic live set from Rebecca, featuring both her classic hits and songs from her new album, ‘Superwoman’.

The boutique hotel brand will continue to work with Rebecca Ferguson to promote her new album over the next few weeks. Superwoman will be played across each of the brand’s fifteen hotels in the run-up to its official release this coming Friday, and there will be plenty of competition opportunities to win tickets to Rebecca’s tour with Malmaison organisers say.

Since her break on ITV’s The X Factor six years ago, Rebecca Ferguson has gone on to win millions of fans on both sides of the Atlantic, touring Britain, Europe and America winning plaudits from Adele as well as critics winning comparisons to her heroes Macy Gray and Aretha Franklin.

Superwoman, the brand new album from Rebecca Ferguson, is released on RCA Records via Sony Music on Friday 14th October.
