Eric Roberts joins The Young and the Restless
Hollywood actor Eric Roberts, known to millions for his roles in films such as Batman, has joined the cast of CBS soap The Young and the Restless.
Hollywood actor Eric Roberts has joined the cast of CBS soap The Young and the Restless for a guest stint. The actor is playing ruthless attorney Vance Abrams who is hired to defend Adam Wilson, who escaped from prison and faked his own death. Roberts’ stint on the top-rated CBS soap is expected to last a month or so but isn’t his first foray into the world of daytime soap. In the late 1970s he appeared on the now defunct NBC soap Another World playing a character called Ted Bancroft.
However, its not the actors role in soap that he is best remembered for but his wide and varied career since then. The actor has frequently appeared on television in shows such as Heroes, Entourage, The L Word, CSI: Miami, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and in the 1996 Doctor Who television movie playing The Master. Roberts film roles include recent Batman movie – The Dark Knight and King of Gypsies and Star 80. He is the brother of Hollywood actress Julia Roberts.
