Corin Redgrave dies at the age of 70

Actor and political activist Corin Redgrave has died at the age of 70, his family announced. The actor was part of the Redgrave acting dynasty and appeared in films such as Four Weddings and a Funeral and Enigma.

The actor was part of the Redgrave acting dynasty being brother of the acclaimed actress Vanessa Redgrave and uncle of the late Natasha Richardson. As well as acting Corin Redgrave was a political activist protesting for rights for people such as the Palestinians and the Romani people. He was a fierce opponent of the Iraq war and in 2004 tried to impeach then Prime Minister Tony Blair over the invasion of the Gulf Country.

 

The actor worked extensively on film and television appearing in films such as Four Weddings and a Funeral, Enigma, Excalibur, A Man for all Seasons. His various television credits include appearances in Foyle’s War, Waking the Dead, Trial and Retribution, Callan, Dangerfield, Ultraviolet, The Vice, Spooks and The Girl in the Café.
