Starz axes Camelot
Starz has cancelled Camelot, its take on the legend of King Arthur.
The fantasy drama has been cancelled after just one season following mixed reviews and disappointing ratings – less than a million viewers per episode. Camelot failed to make much of an impact over shadowed by the likes of Game of Thrones and The Borgias. The series stars Joseph Fiennes, Eva Green and Jamie Campbell Bower. It was created by Michael Hirst, who created The Tudors for Showtime, and Chris Chibnall who is best known in the UK for his work on Torchwood, Born & Bred and Life on Mars. In the UK Camelot airs on Channel Four.
