Ex-Bad Girls actor joins The Street
Ex-Bad Girls star Jack Ellis who played the evil Jim Fenner in the long running ITV drama has joined the cast of Corrie in a regular role.
He will play Weatherfield’s new bookmaker Harry Mason who will be joined by his son, Dan, played by former Brookside star Matthew Crompton when he arrives on the cobbles.
The pair will run the bookies on Rosamund Street, a new set which has just been built at the studios in Manchester.
“We are delighted to have Jack and Matthew on board to play Harry and Dan. The two bookies will be a colourful addition to the Street and will no doubt ruffle a few feathers.” – Coronation Street spokesperson
Ellis will first appear on screen in early December. He is best known for terrorising the inmates at Larkhall in the prison drama which aired series annually on ITV between 1999-2006.
