CBS orders Sarah Michelle Gellar pilot

CBS has ordered a pilot starring former Buffy the Vampire actress Sarah Michelle Gellar.

 

CBS has ordered a pilot starring former Buffy the Vampire actress Sarah Michelle Gellar. According to Entertainment Weekly the new pilot is titled Ringer and is written by Eric Carmelo and Nicola Snyder. It revolves around a trouble young woman on the run who decides to hide by living the life of her wealthy twin sister – until she learns her sister has a price on her head as well. The pilot, if picked up for a series, would mark Sarah Michelle Gellar’s return to prime-time.

 

Since Buffy the Vampire ended in 2003 the actress has mainly concentrated on film roles – such as The Grudge and The Return although has made guest appearances in shows such as The Simpsons.
