Law and Order: Los AngelesActress Alana la Garza is crossing over from the now defunct Law & Order to its new spin-off series Law & Order: Los Angeles. The actress will reprise her role of Assistant District Attorney Connie Rubirosa on the spin-off. The casting is the final part of Los Angeles creative revamp to boost ratings which have tailed off since its launch. As part of the revamp actors Skeet Ulrich, Regina Hall and Megan Boone have all be written out of the series while Terrence Howard was bumped up to the regular cast.

Alana de la Garza joined the cast of Law & Order in 2006 and remained with the crime/legal drama until its cancellation last year. It was widely expected that NBC would renew the series for a final season but a deal could not be reached and so the axe fell.
