Veteran actress Miriam Margolyes has said she hates playing lesbians because she fears female co-stars will think she fancies them. The actress, perhaps best known to modern audiences for her role of Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter films, is a lesbian herself but dislikes playing gay roles.
