American television audience expected to be high for Royal Wedding

The wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton is expected to be in the millions as we await for early ratings data.

 

The main networks all aired special editions of their breakfast shows live from London as America awoke to Brits awaiting the wedding of a future King and Queen Consort. Many of the US networks had British television presenters such as Dermot O’Leary, Angela Rippon and Cat Deeley to help out with the proceedings.

Martin Bashir, who interviewed Princess Diana for BBC’s Panorama appeared on a number of stations giving commentary on the events. It is said that the television companies had to fork out £60,000 to use one of the specially constructed studios at Canada Gate, Buckingham Palace.

Early ratings data is expected later today.
