ABC hands season order to Charlie's Angels
ABC has ordered a series of it’s Charlie’s Angels reboot starring Annie Ilonzeh, Minka Kelly and Rachael Taylor.
It might be Friday 13th and for some shows it has been a pretty bad dam (V, Brothers & Sisters, Law & Order: Los Angeles) but there has been some good news out there too. Yes every cloud has a silver lining and while some shows have been cancelled others have been renewed or picked up following pilots. ABC’s re-working of the classic 1970s detective drama Charlie’s Angels has been handed a season order by ABC.
The new version of the classic series stars Annie Ilonzeh, Minka Kelly and Rachael Taylor and has been written by Alfred Gough and Miles Milnar with Drew Barrymore and Leonard Goldberg amongst its producers. Goldberg and Barrymore were both involved in the two 2000s Hollywood movies of Charlie’s Angels so its a reboot with previous links to the franchise. At the moment it isn’t clear how many episodes ABC has ordered of the new version but its created a lot of buzz and is clearly expected to perform well for the network.
