Sky Living's Four Weddings goes to Australia

Sky Living’s wedding competition, Four Weddings has gone down under with five new episodes which are to be aired in June.

Following in the footsteps of the UK series, Four Weddings Australia sees four very different brides attend and judge one another’s big day. Each is marked on the ceremony, dress, food and reception.  However don’t expect high scores as the competitive nature of these Shelia’s means they don’t take any prisoners in a bid to win the dream prize of a luxury honeymoon.

Sky’s Aussie brides-to-be have some big and bizarre ideas for their dream day. This series takes you from a pagan ritual to a 1920’s gangster themed ceremony, stopping off for a beach escape wedding on the way. Sky Living suggest viewers will be greeted with plenty of sun, sand, steak and drama to rival a Friday night cliff-hanger on Neighbours.

Sky say we can look forward to, in the first episode,: “A quartet of ladies whose ideas of the perfect big day couldn’t be any more different. Model Allana is throwing a big-budget fairy tale bash, complete with an $8,000 dress. For Chez, however, a wedding is about more than just expensive luxuries and over-the-top decorations. Her dress is a second-hand number. Meanwhile, Sothi is hedging her bets with not one, but two, weddings – a traditional Cambodian service in the morning and a church ceremony in the afternoon.  Whereas there’s nothing traditional about Tracey’s service; she and her re-enactment-loving hubby are having a medieval day.”
