Loose Women losing ratings
Daytime panel show Loose Women is losing viewers with figures crashing below 1 million.
The Sun reports that ratings for the panel show have dropped to lows of 700,000 viewers and it is now being regularly beaten by Bargain Hunt. Loose Women has aired on ITV1 for 12 years and its current line up of panellists include Denise Welch, Sherrie Hewson, Lisa Maxwell, Lynda Bellingham, Carol McGriffin and Janet Street Porter with Andrea McLean and Kate Thornton acting as anchors for the debate. Earlier this year Coleen Nolan quit the series having been a regular part of the line-up since 2004.
The Sun reports that a revamp of the series is planned for later in the year but the tabloid claims this isn’t to do with the declining ratings and was pre-planned. Over its 12 years on air (so far) Loose Women has, on occasion, attracted some controversy. It has been accused of being sexist to men on several occasions while another infamous incident saw Joan Rivers swear on-air and during a commercial break being asked to leave the show.
