Glee to take seven week break from Fox

Glee will be off air for seven weeks, Fox has confirmed.

The musical comedy will go on hiatus for seven weeks at the end of the month. A winter finale of Glee will air on February 21st and the series will not return to Fox for new episodes until 10th April.

Replacing Glee initially will be a special live edition of American Idol while in March Fox comedies Raising Hope, I Hate My Teen Daughter and Breaking In will all air. However, its believed that when Glee does return for the remainder of its season three episodes in April there will be no further breaks in transmission.
