Alan Ball to leave True Blood as showrunner
Alan Ball is stepping down from his role of show-runner on HBO‘s True Blood, according to reports.
It seems as though reports of Ball’s departure from supernatural hit True Blood have been confirmed. Rumours first started last week that Ball was leaving the series and now they’ve seemingly been confirmed. Roger Friedman of Forbes has cited ‘exhaustion’ after the reason behind Ball’s decision to step down from his role.
While Ball will be stepping down from his role as a show-runner the writer will still be involved with True Blood though in a reduce capacity. A new show-runner will be brought in to replace him. A fifth season of True Blood is scheduled to air this Summer; it will be Ball’s last in charge.
