Kennedy Keen To Reprise Corrie Role

Former Corrie star Kevin Kennedy has said that he would be willing to make a return to the long running ITV soap.

The star who played Curly Watts for 20 years between 1983 and 2003 was axed in 2003 and there were rumours Kennedy’s well documented real life drink problem were to blame for the axing. Kennedy has since expressed a a desire to return to the show on more than one occasion.

“Curly moved to Newcastle and there’s more mileage in him. I’d like to return as he still has a story to tell. I just want to walk into the Rovers and say, ‘Who are you? Who’s that?’ as I don’t know some of the newer characters! I adored my time on Corrie, especially the Curly and Raquel romance. I still watch it now and again, although I’m often on stage when it’s on the telly.” Kennedy speaking to The Sun.

Since leaving The Street Kennedy has made an appearance in daytime soap Doctors.
