A Spanish Judge has confirmed that the investigation into the Boyzone singer Stephen Gately has been closed. The Judge confirmed that Gately died of natural causes and therefore the official investigation into his death was now closed. The Irish singer was found dead at his holiday home in Majorca in October of last year; he was just 33. Tributes followed the tragic death of Gately but Daily Mail columnist Jan Moir caused outrage, and thousands of complaints to the PCC, in an article which claimed there was “nothing natural” about his death. Moir was accused of blatant homophobia and was forced to deny the accusations.  Boyzone recently announced the release of their first song since the tragic death of Gately. The track will feature vocals from the singer as it was recorded in the summer of 2009.
