Pauline Quirke has revealed she would welcome a revival of the BBC One 1990’s sitcom Birds of a Feather. The popular comedy ran for nine seasons and 102 episodes between 1989 and 1998 and saw Quirke star alongside Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph. If there was a good idea there, then yes I’d be up for it. But we’re all getting on a bit now. It might need to be set in an old folks’ home with zimmer frames. The truth is, though, that we’ve not been asked yet. I read about supposed rumours every week but no-one has asked us.” – Pauline Quirke speaking to The Daily Record
The actress is currently appearing in ITV’s Yorkshire soap Emmerdale and has enjoyed a wide range of roles since the conclusion of Birds of a Feather. The actress appeared in the BBC One drama Down to Earth for several seasons and before joining the cast of Emmerdale was the lead in the BBC Daytime drama Missing which ran for two seasons.
