EXCLUSIVE: NEW DETAILS ON SERIES 3 OF ‘THE FAMILY’

ATV Today can exclusively reveal that the new series of Channel 4 docu-soap The Family will be a following a Nigerian family from Hackney, East London.

The new family consists of a married couple and their four children, with the youngest being 15. The Family follows the lives of a family over many months, capturing their daily lives in the style of Big Brother. The last series, which aired in 2009 followed the Indian family the Grewals.

The Family originally aired in 1974 on the BBC, which followed a typical working class family from Reading. The format was revived by Channel 4 in 2008, following the same lines as the original series. However the 2009 series was altered slightly and featured inserted interviews on situations that had arisen.

Filming for the third series of The Family will end later this month and is due to be back on our screens on Channel 4 this November.
