Roger Moore to appear in Benidorm

Former James Bond and The Saint actor Roger Moore is to guest-star in the next series of Benidorm.

Former James Bond and The Saint actor Roger Moore is to guest-star in the next series of Benidorm, The Sun reports. According to the tabloid newspaper the actor will appear in the fourth season of the ITV comedy as a local Spanish dignitary after it was discovered he as a fan of Benidorm.

Roger Moore is due to film his scenes for Benidorm within the next few days according to the tabloid. The actor is famous for several high profile roles including the 1960s television series The Saint followed by The Persuaders.

His role in the early 1970s series The Persuaders earned him £1 million per series making Moore the highest paid actor in television at the time. In 1973 Moore took over the role of James Bond in the film franchise from actor Sean Connery making his debut in Live and Let Die and remained in the role until 1985’s A View to Kill.

Moore is one of several guest-stars lined up for the next series of Benidorm with Cilla Black, Louie Spence and Windsor Davies also appearing in the sitcom.
