Cheryl Cole to sing on The X Factor

As many suspected, X Factor judge Cheryl Cole will perform on the show this weekend.

Cheryl Cole will perform her new single ‘Promise This‘ on the Sunday elimination show. It’s not the first time she has performed on the programme, however. She has previously performed with Girls Aloud and then to promote her debut single ‘Fight For This Love’.

It had been rumoured that Cheryl Cole may move to America to take up a judging role on the US version of the hit show.

Simon Cowell has spoke about the US version The X Factor, due to air next autumn in 2011. Speaking to website Deadline he said;

“Genuinely, nobody has been booked for the show. The only person that’s been booked is me. We’re trying to keep it as open as possible. People approach me to be on it all the time…There will be some surprises, genuinely some surprises.” – Simon Cowell
