Teri HatcherTeri Hatcher has reportedly signed a new contract for ABC’s Desperate Housewives but her Wisteria Lane co-star have yet to sign new deals according to reports. According to Bloomberg Teri Hatcher, who plays Susan Delfino, has signed a new contact with Desperate Housewives. However, her co-stars Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria are yet to sign new deals – according to Bloomberg the three actresses want pay rises.

ABC recently renewed six shows, including Grey’s Anatomy and its spin-off Private Practice, but notably not Desperate Housewives. However, the soapy/dramas exclusion from the list is not to do with ratings. The series continues to be a top performer for the broadcaster; constantly winning its Sunday evening slot. The reason why Desperate Housewives hasn’t been renewed yet is while creator Marc Cherry has a contract with ABC that runs out in two years the stars of the series don’t – their contract runs out this season. Hence why talks are going on behind the scenes to secure the future of the series – Desperate Housewives is almost a certainty to come back but which residents of Wisteria Lane come back remain to be seen.
