The MTV remake of Skins in America launched with over 3 million viewers on Monday evening. The remake is off the first series of the E4 drama which starred Nicholas Holt and Mitch Hewer. Even before MTV’s version of Skins aired it was slammed by the Parents Television Council and labelled the “most dangerous show” for teens by the organisation. However, as some might say there’s no such thing as bad publicity. MTV’s remake off Skins launched with 3.3 million viewers according to reports in America. Skins had a strong lead-in from Jersey Shore which doubtless helped its strong premier.
