David Brent returns to The Office…in America

Ricky Gervais will be reprising David Brent for a cameo appearance in the American version of The Office.

In an episode which airs on January 27th on NBC in America, Gervais’ character David Brent will meet his American counterpart Michael Scott. The Office became an instant hit in America, and is now on its seventh series. Scott is played by comedy film star Steve Carell.

Gervais is currently executive producer of The Office. His last appearance as David Brent in the UK was in the Christmas special in 2003.
