Fringe The “doomed” Fox cult series Fringe managed to hold onto its ratings on Friday evening. It was the second episode of Fringe to air in its new Friday evening home but ratings didn’t fall dramatically. In fact they were pretty much steady with last week’s figures which is good news for the series. Some had written off Fringe once it was announced it was moving to Friday evenings but Fox has said if the cult series holds steady it will renew it. So far so good because that’s exactly what Fringe is doing. According to the latest ratings data Fringe pulled in 4.7 million viewers with 1.9 million in the all important 18 – 49 demo.

However, was Fringe boosted by the lack of Supernatural and Smallville on The CW? Will their return next week be a blow to Fringe or will it continue to defy predictions and hold firm?
